Trial Period
A host scientist may stipulate the acceptance of a postdoctoral fellow on a trial period of up to three months. However, the scientist must notify, in writing, the candidate and the FGS about this condition in advance. No additional trial period, with the same host scientist or any other, will be approved beyond the three months.
Discontinuation of the fellowship during or at the end of the trial period requires approval by the head of the postdoctoral program.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will receive financial support during the trial period.

If the candidate is accepted into the program, the trial period will be considered as an integral part of the fellowship period.

Foreign postdoctoral fellows, who do not continue the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program following the trial period, will be entitled to reimbursement of flight expenses, including the return flight, to be debited to the host scientist (according to the terms specified in the section of the Rules and Regulations titled “Reimbursement of Flight and Moving Expenses”).
