Ph.D. Fellowships
The School does not admit Ph.D. students who cannot dedicate all of their time to full-time study and scientific research.

Entitlement
Candidates deemed suitable for studying at FGS are usually entitled to a fellowship for up to 54 months.

First Year Ph.D. Fellowship

	During the first year of studies students will be entitled to a fellowship at a first year Ph.D. level.
	1st year Ph.D. fellowship is NIS 6,600

Second Year Ph.D. Fellowship

	After the approval of his/her Research Proposal, a student is entitled to a fellowship at a second-year doctoral level (retroactively from the month following the one in which the research proposal was submitted).
	2nd year Ph.D. fellowship is NIS 7,600

Termination of Fellowship Payment
The payment of the fellowship will cease as soon as one of the following conditions is met:

	The student has left WIS
	The degree is officially approved
	60 days have passed since the submission of the thesis
	The student completed 60 months of doctoral studies. In cases where postponement of the submission of the thesis is approved beyond the standard 54 months (excluding a prolonged illness, IDF reserve duty, or maternity leave), the FGS Dean will decide on each case individually, whether financial support should be continued for the postponed period or only part of it. In the event that extension of the financial support approved, it will not exceed five years of doctoral studies.
	The fellowship will be terminated whenever students begin working and earning a salary. The students are obliged to notify the Graduate School of any such instances.
